My husband saw it in a theater. I wasn't interested. The last time I saw him this angry about a film was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 2014.

My only real issue is [Spoilers]them not getting involved unless its deviants or whatever like, they gave a lame excuse for Thanos or whatever but my issue is in GotG 2 Ego was going to basically destroy the planet and turn it into himself (basic gist idk) and that seems like a huge reason to get involved considering earth is an egg

Also! [Spoilers]Kingo has a whole ass adorable human assistant who I would die for and he's still just, nah I don't think I'll save humans. Sorry man.

Idk. It was a movie. There were some things I liked but it felt too much too soon. Hated the two leads. Felt nothing for them and their "love".

I don’t get the hate for this movie. It has more plot than Spider-Man …. I guess it’s missing the nostalgia

Agreed. It's very different tonally, than other Marvel movies, but I don't think it should be as panned as it is. I went to the cinema thinking it was going to be a long and boring disaster, but I didn't hate it.

i watched it in theaters and came out of it very confused but the more i thought about it the more i loved this movie lmao. i'll def be rewatching this weekend.

i just wish it was its own universe. i thought the same of shang chi. the interconnectedness of it all is just not serving any of the new films.

I agree about the interconnectedness of the film to the MCU because the [Link to spoiler] excuse they gave for not being involved in a bunch of potential world-destroying events was kind of flimsy. It should have just been its own thing.

It's not going to bring the feels like No Way Home did, but it still has some nice special effects and a beautifully diverse cast. So I would recommend everyone watch it. Hopefully the sequel is more fleshed out and disappoints less people.

Not my decision to make but all signs are pointing to no sequel, I mean when Nate Moore comes out and says not everything needs a sequel in reference to The Eternals, it seems pretty obvious that there isn't going to be a sequel. I would imagine it has a lot to do with the critical reception, not just the box office. Side note, there originally wasn't going to be a Black Widow sequel either but it sounds like there will be with Florence Pugh - so anything can change.
