i've never seen a movie where the end of the world was treated with so little urgency. the earth was about to explode in 7 days or whatever and there they all were just casually walking around looking pretty talking about nothing.

i usually leave every marvel movie wanting to see SOME character again and the only person i'd pay to see money in another mcu movie is kumail's assistant (there'd be another one if they hadn't killed them off). the rest of those navel gazing demi-gods can kick rocks.

yeah this is what I didn’t like. Marvel was kind of built with a focus on the humanity of characters being a central thing and like. the Eternals aren’t humans, but we’re told over and over that they love humans, especially Sersi! but the only person who acts like it’s a big deal the world could end is Brian Tyree Henry’s character and that’s bc he’s married to a human and has a human child.

oh my god the fact that they were still introducing characters two hours into the movie made me so angry. how was that not fixed before the movie even started production? two hours is too long to keep doing the “here is a new character and here is their flashback” thing
