I thought andrea barber's statement was really nice: https://www.instagram.com/p/CYiiTZnrLC_/

Bob ended every text, every interaction with “Love you.” Didn’t matter how long or short we’d been apart. He loved so deeply and so fiercely. And he never hesitated to tell you just how much you meant to him. This is the greatest lesson I learned from Bob Saget - don’t hesitate to tell people you love them. I feel at peace knowing that Bob knew exactly how much I adore him.

what a wonderful way to be, and to leave. to know you've always told everyone how much you cared, and that you encouraged them to do the same for you.

Grieving is so hard and I feel like most of its don't know how to actually do it?

I have no idea if this is right, but I always tell people to feel what they are feeling and don't feel guilt about it. If you find yourself happy and laughing, that is okay. That is exactly what your loved one would have wanted. They want you to find peace and happiness from their memories and in your life. You will feel sad and devastated too, but you don't have to live in those feelings. They aren't the only "right" ones. Really, grieving is going on with your life after loss.
I don't know. This is all things I picked up on after my dad passed away.

Love your comment so much. I’ve been through a lot of grief in my life and am going through a very personal loss right now. It has taken me to this most recent loss to absolutely agree with it being okay, so much more more than okay, to feel joy and laughter and love, to seek it out. That is what the person you lost would have wanted beyond all measure.

Exactly. It sounds cliché, but we are still living and the best way to honor someone is to do just that. It doesn't mean you have forgotten them or love them any less. It just means that you are still here and you have to keep going.
I hope you get all of the peace and healing you need right now.

Bob Saget and James Avery were the iconic TV dads of my childhood, tough to know they're both gone.

I still can’t believe James is gone. J Cole’s mention of Uncle Phil being “the only father that he ever knew” really sums up how his character truly had an impact on a whole generation.

As old as I am now, I still feel like this about singers. Aretha Franklin raised me together with Aunt Diana Ross, my sister Janet Jackson paved the way for me.
I have no idea why that is so, I'm a white german woman.
