I don't watch it but I salute This Is Us because it's not one of NBC's many franchise shows (Chicago shows/Law & Order/etc), just its own thing. CBS is also overwhelmed by franchise shows (NCIS, FBI). I saw this banner during The Price Is Right today that said "THE FBIs" and I was thinking it should be "THE FBsI" like "attorneys general"
the premiere was pretty boring. i was definitely expecting some kind of surprise twist or reveal in a flash forward at the end but nothing; surprising of the last ever premiere of the show
My Mom and I save up the episodes so we can binge them all at once and just cry. I got really invested in Madison and Kevin last season so I really hope they end up together at some point. I'm glad this is the last season - it's nice when shows go out with a plan.
Kevin and Madison never seemed like a real love story to me - he literally proposed to her out of obligation and I'm glad the season finale addressed that lol.
to be fair, the show keeps pushing Kevin and Sophie as the true love story so that's probably why I feel this way.
I liked Sophie before but I also like the concept of a love story that grows through unexpected circumstances.
Otherwise almost all the couples are first loves and it really gets to me when people end up with their high school/college sweethearts. I liked that Kevin grew up over the series and letting Sophie go was a big part of that.
Kevin and Sophie have already tried it twice, I feel like it is time to move on, also I agree kind of tired of the "your first love/high school sweetheart is your one true love"
