SUPERGIRL is based on the DC character Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, who after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

I wonder if Kara will finally get to be the focus on the show for the finale? Who am I kidding. It'll be Lex and Esme and Andrea and Nyxly and guest stars. The only thing I'm excited about is whatever resolution happens for Brainy and Nia.

If they really split up Brainy and Nia at the last minute I'll have to yell at someone. I mean, I know the writers of Supergirl hate romance, but is this really their verdict, you only get one couple (Alex and Kelly), that's the max amount of romantic happiness that we allow.

I have some optimism that we'll finally get some proper Alex and Kara stuff and some proper celebration of Supergirl, but yeah, this season has been painfully uneven and meandering.

It's a damn shame these writers couldn't just focus on what made the show good - the female friendships. Instead they preferred to keep certain male characters around far past when their storylines should have ended. Mostly recently, William and Lex. The Lex of it all pisses me off the most. When you have a villain who is miraculously always one step ahead of your protagonist, it's incredibly lazy and the audience rarely enjoys it.

Anyway, guess what I'll be watching tomorrow night. Sigh...

I didn't mind William (though I think it felt really pointless that he didn't even get to find out anybody's secret identities before dying), but imo the clearest crime of the last season was that the show split Kara and Alex off into different storylines. Lena really should have shared her magic storyline with Andrea, not Kara and the last season should have been heavily about the sisters.

Now Lex on the other hand should never have joined in the first place (or at the very least he should have stayed dead and gone after season 4). He is a Superman villain and cribbing him for Supergirl, let alone as the central and most regularly occurring villain just made them look like they had zero ideas about what to do with Supergirl as a character.

That has unfortunately been true for a few years now. Supergirl has been aimless since the move from CBS.

I hope The Flash ends next season. Supergirl stopped being fun years ago and The Flash is just boring.

i have watched this show since episode 1 and god i knew when it moved to the cw that it was gonna be bad but i never thought it would end like this. arrow straight up killed it's protagonist well before the series finale and it was still better than whatever they've thrown together here.

i just want nia and brainy to stay together, fuck the big brain lol

I will watch it, but this season has not been good. I feel like the CW DC shows should all end, Legends of Tomorrow is a mess & The Flash lost its spark.
