I've been binging this show out of boredom on Netflix and... why is Brainy green and not blue, lol

The character is green in comics. In the show, once he removed his personality inhibitors, he was able to be his true self (green).

Oh thank goodness it's over. This season has been such a mess. I'm sorry, but the writers just are not strong enough to write beyond the surface level of the alien = racial minorities metaphor. When Alex rebuked Kara last episode for giving her advice on raising her alien kid from an alien's perspective, I was like... did y'all forget your own set up?
