I wish I was a theatre kid or at least a drama club member since it would have helped me come out of my shell more in school.

Theatre def helped me w that as a kid, and it was super fun to just learn how to not inhabit myself. Also good at teaching you empathy. If i ever have a kid its one of those must-do activities.

Sympathy and Empathy I've always had plenty of but not having self-confidence and boxed in would have been something nice to work on during school. I think I wouldn't have been so shy and nervous whenever I had to speak in front of people if I was involved in those clubs since it would have forced me to interact more and perform in front of people.

I was a theatre kid who didn’t want to perform and it did not bring me out of my shell at all unfortunately. The anxiety I felt when I had to recite things was awful. But that’s what I get for being a theatre kid who knew from the start they wanted to be backstage not on stage lol

I loved musical theater but I was a band kid. I couldn't handle being the center of attention on stage- I remember getting second chair clarinet senior year and being relieved when a kid challenged me and I got bumped back. Don't want to solo.
