Speaking of sex work it's now a felony to buy sex in Texas. There was a bill put forth by a rep from Houston that everyone agreed to pass. They also made it a felony to recruit or hang around treatment facilities. Also made sex trafficking laws carry stiffer penalties. Prostitution is still a misdemeanor and there are serval ways to have the charges dropped if you agree to some programs aimed at getting sex workers off the streets.
