The Princess Diaries is a great little family movie (I think it holds up so well!) and in my opinion Anne Hathway was perfectly cast

Anne was perfect but I think Emmy Rossum would have worked out if these three. No thank you to Scarjo

She was 14 though, which would be all kinds of yikes considering Chris Pine was 20 in 2000.

Chris Pine wasn’t in the first movie, though, and I would hope that the casting would have been more age appropriate if they went with a 14 year old. She would have been around 18 for the second movie

She would have just turned 17 when they started to shoot the second movie (around autumn 2003), so that's still yikes to me.
