I’m seriously so sick of it and the way people pat themselves on the back for it while staying completely silent on issues effecting Asians. 🙃Even better when I see people guilty of racism against Asians over the years joining in to laugh as if they’re some great ally for making a joke that essentially amounts to calling someone Asian/Japanese as an insult.

I’m not talking about you specifically, I hope my original comment didn’t sound directed at you. It’s a trend in comments I’ve seen over the years. People who have gone and made jokes about Scarjo will turn around and go into a post about racism against Asians and dismiss that it’s not really racism etc. It basically poisoned the entire joke to me long ago.
