This is sooo stupid. Even in the original show it wasn’t necessary to reveal the GG. It’s not a mystery that needed solving, or in this case, reinventing in the worst way possible.

I never once watched the original and wondered who Gossip Girl was. It wasn't even neccessary for them to reveal it. Gossip Girl wasn't Pretty Little Liars where everyone wonder who she was. I don't get these show runners.

Exactly. They never revealed it in the books because they didn't have to. It didn't matter who Gossip Girl was. That wasn't the point!

I can already tell you from watching that I don't like the reveal being on the front end. It's...cringe worthy to say the least, especially with how they chose to do it.

They could have at least followed the OG Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars series formula to keep the audience guessing who it is, what their motivations are, and why. That was part of the draw. Sigh.
