-The new Gossip Girl is here and one major difference from the original series? Gossip Girl's identity isn't a mystery. In fact it's central to the plot this time around.
-Showrunner Joshua Safran who also worked on the original wanted to change things up and explore how Gossip Girl worked and dealt with how she impacted the lives of her subjects, something that they never got to do with Dan (he acts as if Dan was the always planned as GG lol)
-They'll explore how long one can successfully be Gossip Girl and how it affects them on a personal level.
-Ensured that they changed the wording from "your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite." to "your one and only source for the truth behind the scandalous lies of New York’s elite." as GG 2.0 will be exposing the lies that the rich tell.
-Wanted to ensure that the new crew had funner lives compared to the OGs who were always dealing with drama, but the new kids lives will slowly descent into madness as the series goes along now that Gossip Girl is back.
