I was thinking this too. They're both good performances that the oscar could go either way for. But Room was def the stronger performance.

I don't even like Leo but he was great in The Departed and should've got his "sorry, bud" Oscar for that so it could've all been put to rest in 2006.

it was because of titanic and his behavior during award season when he wasn't nominated.

"Catch Me If You Can" is such a fun, well-done movie. I can watch it every time it's on. It's Leo's best work.

And Nicole and Ewan were both so great in Moulin Rouge, but Nicole especially deserved that Oscar for it over the Hours.

And I didn't even know Pacino didn't win for Godfather 2. I just assumed he did and never checked because he does such a perfect, iconic job.

I think only Brando and De Niro won for The Godfather, which is bullshit. I think Michael Corleone is much more iconic than Vito

Totally agree with Catch Me If You Can. It's such a delightful, zippy movie and still has heart to it!

Boogie Nights won zero Academy Awards which is freakish and possibly criminal.

Joaquin def should have won for Walk the Line. I did love his performance in Joker (the movie itself was nothing special tho), but he was next level in Walk the Line.

honestly the greatest actor of his generation, it was quite something watching that movie and thinking 'this guy is going to go on to be an all-timer'
