So Dua Lipa's Levitating was expected to hit #1 on Billboard Hot 100 this week. Dua herself had been tweeting about it. But that did not happen. On the latest Billboard HHot 100 charted, released 2 days later than usual

At this point the main acts that care about charting positions are big label acts. Charting can open the door for small acts that potentially chart but Billboard and stuff is more important to the industry than it is to the artists at this point. Similar to the Grammys. Also there’s so much scamming that happens with these and gaming the system with these big acts it just feels outside of stan Twitter most Gen Z don’t care.

I feel like artists have been talking about this for years but it's funny how people believe it depending on the messenger. Like people seemed to finally acknowledge the Scammy's and their fuckery after the Weeknd but people like Bebe, Britney, Nicki etc have all said this at some point in their own way and people just dismissed them as bitter and a flop.
