Oh thanks for that post. I was such a Stan of her and so devasted when Marissa died.
Josh Schwartz already showed regret of killing her and he also said that they thought about killing her already in Mexico...
I think she won't make an appearance on the podcast.
Oh I still need to listen to the new episode

Oh and I'm so sorry she had problems on the set. I always figured that something was going on. She had such a rough time afterwards

Yeah I remember him saying that he went to a lot of forums online like TWoP where the posters absolutely hated Marissa, so they felt more confident that the decision to kill her off wouldn’t really hurt the show, only to find afterwards that she was a lot more popular than they realised and it was a mistake to judge their entire teenage audience by the vocal internet posters

Honestly, the yearly Marissa Cooper spirals were the best storylines on The OC and were infinitely better than when they tried it on Gossip Girl with Serena. I always thought it was when Mischa Barton really shined as an actress instead of when she was just this like vague idea of Ryan's dream girl.

Like I know a lot of people stan Julie Cooper but she was such an awful parent to Marissa and so was Tate Donovan's character

I think a lot of Mischa’s “bad acting” isn’t even that bad she just has a weird voice lol

I'll always have a soft spot for Mischa thanks to the show. I was bummed when they killed her, but that whole third season was one big bummer. I remember the were rumors that her character after the S3 finale and we'd maybe somehow see her at least in the season four premiere, but nope. I'm sorry she was bullied on set and had such a rough time during and after the show. I hope she's in a much better place these days.

I was truly shocked by them killing her off because I remember the rumors were that they were killing off Sandy.
