My favorite part of Pam's roast is when Bea Arthur reads excerpts from Pam's book. It used to be on YT, but it looks like it's been removed. :( I was looking for it recently.

Things I think about when I see Pamela Anderson in the news I shouldn’t think about because I’m not a fan and yet:

1. She was one of the first women to talk about keeping her placenta and burying in the garden etc. This was all over the mainstream media way back when.

2. She was the first female celebrity to talk about having hep C. I remember looking up hep C because of her.

3. The Barb Wire poster was plastered everywhere and it made me really think about feminism because she looked so fucking uncomfortable on that poster.

4. She helped me realize PETA are nuts

5. Her taste in romantic partners has consistently been the worst. Apart from Tommy Lee - Kid Rock? Rick Solomon whom she married twice?

I’ve had this thought just now that maybe she went a bit obsessive with PETA and veganism
bc of her hep C. There was no cure and I can’t even imagine how stressful it was as a young mother to be told you have this incurable disease you can’t do anything about .

I mean, yes it is exploitive. She has a point. But I think it's harmful to criticize the actors in these types of projects unless it is their acting. It should be more directed to the writers, directors, producers of these projects.

I agree, Lily and Sebastian aren't unknowns so it's not detrimental to their careers. I was thinking moreso actors who really just need to take a job because it would be good for them because it means a paycheck or could help their career i.e. Michael Chiklis and Alexandra Shipp's backlash for roles as John Belushi and Aaliyah.
