This show bothered me so much, I couldn't watch past the second episode because I found it so distressing for some reason, and I'm pretty desensitized...?

I guess it's because I'm pretty naive and idealistic like the main character and saw a lot of similarities between myself and her, so it was upsetting to see everyone around her talk about what a big dumb complete moron she was lmao

Oh I'm sure it gets better! They just played off these really upsetting scenes as almost comedic and it... bothered me? It's an objectively well-done show, for sure. Everyone is amazing in it, especially that guy from Skins.

man, she really stays booked & busy, it's (seemingly) cool/fun projects, and doesn't look like the type of thing she has to take solely bc she isn't getting better offers. you go, gillian <3

I know!!!! I'm glad she is still getting good, quality stuff - since for most actresses turning 40 is like a death sentence in HW :/ But it seems for her its the opposite, i think it helps she's always kind of done her own thing - she really does age like fine wine 🔥

Her career kinda reminds me of Michelle Pfieffer's - who doesn't love Michelle...

I'm looking forward to this! I remember vaguely that Johanna was a social climbing jerk so I'm curious to see the dark comedy take on her.
