I'm fairly ignorant about this and I've tried looking up and learning but it's been fairly hard to find unbiased news sources and friends/family to explain it- does anyone have any good links to learn more about it?

I've been hesitant for social media posts because it's hard to know if they're unbiased/rooted in fact but these do look like a great place to start and then search a bit more based off of them!

nothing is 100% unbiased, so you have to just use some critical thinking

but this isn't really complicated!

remember when zayn was still in 1d and tweeted "FREE PALESTINE" and people lost their shit at him?

i was super disappointed by rihanna's mealy-mouthed "both sides" statement so i'm really glad to see so many celebs speaking out.

free palestine, period. and eid mubarak to any muslim ontders <3

andrew yang is such a fucking hack, i feel the same way about yang-gangers. UBI is a great concept, but not in conjunction with gutting all of america's social safety nets. also, this bullshit. embarassing.

i'm gonna be really mad if that grifter ends up mayor of nyc but it looks like it might end up happening :(

and yeah i also like the idea of ubi and hope it can be implemented, but NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF SOCIAL PROGRAMS??? his libertarian-esque leanings have always given me pause (and his complete lack of political experience, ofc)

we pretty much talked about this all day during the eid gathering at my grandma's house. there was a heavy atmosphere and it definitely felt weird celebrating

zayn has never been afraid to speak his mind and that's one of my fave things about him

again, i don't expect or require celebs to speak out about this stuff, but it is nice to see?

Yeah, IA. It's great when they show depth and empathy, but also people/fans SHOULD NOT rely on them for expert information and/or definitive morality or something.

yeah i can be like privately bummed if they don't speak out but actively harrassing a celeb for a statement? couldn't be me!
