Eid Mubarak, ONTD! Today is the Muslim holiday that marks the end of the fasting month, Ramadan. It should be a peaceful day spent with family and friends but it's hard not to think of Palestinians right now who are facing violence and ethnic cleansing during one of the holiest days of the year ( Read more... )

eid mubarak to all who celebrate <3

it seems like there's genuinely been a tide shift on palestine and a) awful it took this long and b) encouraging to finally see. mainstream lib dems have spent the past few years trying to outlaw BDS ffs (looking at cory booker and others) so to finally see solidarity on this issue from some electeds and celebrities is...about fucking time. it's a litmus test to see who's genuinely progressive or just roleplaying IMO.

There's been slight progress in public perception because it's getting harder to cover up Israeli atrocities on social media despite the fact that journalists on the ground are getting censored by Twitter, Facebook is taking down Palestinian activist groups, etc. But we need actual policy changes. As we speak the U.S. is blocking a U.N. resolution because it's too critical of Israel. It's business as usual. I really hope to see a Free Palestine in my lifetime 😔😔

We stand with the Palestinian people as they resist this colonial terror in all its forms. #FreePalestine pic.twitter.com/Vg6NFbqW7w

i've been loving the random memes popping out of this. people are getting pissed off at them for speaking out and being on the side of palestine and people are answering back with "what machine did you think they are fucking raging against? a washing machine?"

I know it feels weird to celebrate while all of this is going one but I'm sending you my love.

Not direct, but Henry Golding responded to Andrew Yang.

You are an actual twat.

Gemma Chan has also been posting on insta stories and RTed this.

At least six Palestinian children killed in the Gaza Strip this evening, four from one family. The number of child casualties is likely higher. It is time to prevent any further escalation of violence, protect civilians, and stop all violations against children. #AChildIsAChild
