i wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much since i felt kind of ambivalent towards them in tcw. but i think i'm also just starved for good star wars content which filoni seems to be best at (mando is hit or miss for me. i love din and grogu but some of the arcs and the guest stars are just... not good so i'm less enthused about it lmfao)

wasn't into the Bad Batch before, but setting their story at this point got me interested.

however, it looks like they're only barely starting to address the skintone and other animation concerns that people started raising ever since...young Boba Fett didn't look like himself.

I am honestly still confused by Omega being a clone. Who is she a clone of? Because I don't see how she could be a clone of Jango Fett.

[Spoiler (click to open)]she is technically a clone of jango - they didn't have much of his DNA left and omega being female and therefore "defective" is part of that. that's why the other clones make fun of her and the other characters and look down on them. since they are seen as "mistakes."

I don't agree with the prev commenter's reading of Omega as being considered defective just for being female - when I was doing research for something different, I saw that cis males of humans can produce cis male and cis female clones, but cis females only produce cis female clones. (For example, in Orphan Black, the only male clone of the cis female main character is trans

I did not know that about cloning, that's really interesting. I agree - she doesn't even look like Jango so I wanted more explanation.

I loved Clone Wars and Rebels but I have no interest in watching this at all.

But if people are enjoying it so far I'm willing to give it a shot, I might wait until all the episodes are out though so I can just binge it.

I didn't like the Bad Batch characters in TCW (except for Echo, who joined them) but the story and dynamics in this show might be worth a try.
