Even tho the show ended up going to shit, I think some GoT moments like the Red Wedding or the conclusion to Ned's S1 plot were big moments that were a collective shocking experience to audiences.
IA. I was a little less shocked having read the books, but some parts of that show were still so thrilling. Like the first major battle against the white walkers. Hardhome, I think?
It's really sad that all the hype that GoT (deservedly) got at the beginning went down the drain with the last season but oh well. Personally, I remember the way Tywin saved the day in the King's Landing battle.
My then partner legit thought I was choking when the Red Wedding happened. I could speak and was making these strange noises so he’s come running out. He’s like ‘you dying?’ And I’m just pointing at the TV

I think it's iconic bc it cemented SU from feeling like a show beloved by lgbt folks to rly stepping out there as being openly gay in many different ways, to me. I remember ppl going nuts, including me!

I think my favorite episodes of any show ever, though, is still Lost’s ‘The Constant’ and BB’s iconic ‘Ozymandias’.
