tbh i don't think those endings were THAT open-ended.

At least they tried to get Fiona, damn covid.

The dementia thing... yikes. I haven’t watched this season/the finale yet, but all I can say is dementia is really freaking scary and I’ve more than my fair share of it from friend’s parents to both my grandmothers. And it comes on so suddenly to... or at least in the cases closest to me.

This. But I do think even bringing up dementia is huge because a lot of ppl with it don’t change over night. It’s small things you don’t notice or things you think is just getting older. I had one Mawmaw who was normal, save for a sudden... nervousness about getting out of bed (afraid she’d fall), and it wasn’t until after a hospital stay for Pneumonia when it really hit and she went from being my Mawmaw to something unrecognizable. She barely recognized it and ended up passing away from pneumonia two weeks after an official diagnosis. But if people knew the signs... and potential causes...

my friend is not even 30 and she had been an alcoholic since the age of 8 iirc. she now has permanent brain damage and sometimes her memory seems off, but she doesn't seem to notice. i think a lot about the possibility of her getting dementia earlier than expected.

I liked it, would’ve liked it a lot more if they had mentioned Fiona. Like she wasn’t even named in the letter? That’s dumb.

The show peaked in S4 but it had its moments throughout the years. Honestly I’m just thrilled that brought Mickey back and gave him and Ian a somewhat happy ending <3

I’m only going to miss Mickey. Idk why I love that character so damn much but someone give Noel another show playing basically the same character but make his co-star actually able to act, no apologies to Cameron, who looks to be embarrassed to be acting in every scene the last 5 or 6 years.

mte with everything you said
i don't think he's bad, he just don't care for the show for years (and i'm basing my criticism only on his scenes with noel, who basically gives it all no matter how shitty the writing is)

Same, I'm gonna miss watching Noel as Mickey. He's such a good actor and I loved watching what he did with the character. They were lucky to have him.

As someone who have never seen this show, I just watched all the scenes with Ian and Mickey and even I didn't miss how they were so done to end this show lmao.

Anyway, there's a new fic from one of the best Gallavich fanfic writers and they're publishing one chapter every Sunday.

Here! https://archiveofourown.org/works/28970430/chapters/71092857

Check out the writer's other fics if you haven't, she's really good.
Also, that one in the link has cheating as a main plot, just warning if you don't like that 😅
