#TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier includes the grand return of Zemo after 5 years as well as the first episode written by ‘John Wick’ creator Derek Kolstad.
Do these elements make for a great episode? Find out what we think in our review... https://t.co/MExl8ofMIc - DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) April 2, 2021
Madripoor is in Indonesia, with an urban landscape copied from an East Asian metropolis, and the needle drop they used to introduce the city is a Filipino rap song about weed. Loving the blunt orientalism.
There were barely any Asian people featured. It looked like it was filmed in the US with some 'Asian' street art. Indonesia is such a vibrant place - to see that missing from Mandripoor was disappointing.
I know everyone’s always like ~look at this chaotic energy~ but honestly? everything about this team up was chaotic af and I loved every minute. [Spoiler (click to open)]Zemo is Cap!Fam now, on a temporary and probationary basis of course. I think the seven years in solitary (if he did not get blipped) got to him
I loved the action scenes in this [Spoiler (click to open)] Sharon taking down a dozen dudes, more than making up for how paltry her action scenes were in CATWS and CW. Bucky fucking impaling someone with a pipe?? What?! and man that cameo at the end genuinely caught me off guard, that was not in any leaks and I liked it that way.
This was a very action heavy episode, and IA with the criticism that the pacing of the show is off. WandaVision had pacing issues too but they were less noticeable until the end and I’m chalking it up to the MCU having to find their balance in this new format. That being said, I am having a fucking blast. Like I am having fun here
OMG I didn't even think about if Zemo got dusted or not. But considering he was still in jail I'd say he was? Otherwise he surely would've gotten out in the chaos when people started to be dusted in the prison, including the guards.
That scene at the end had me screaming, I was live texting a friend and went all capslock. Love that person since their first appearance and the success they have inter- and nationally.
This was by far my favorite episode! I need to rewatch when I get back home.
[Spoiler (click to open)]I loved Sharon in this episode. She kicked some major ass. My favorite scene was her calling out Steve/Cap for basically leaving them in a shitty situation. They all followed him and he led their asses straight to hell while he fucked off to the past to get Peggy back. Bye lol Steve literally did nothing to make sure they would be good in his absence. He gets his happy ending while everyone else is suffering. That's why I laugh at "Steve always had a plan." Oh did he now? He's probably at the retirement facility watching daily sunsets and not giving a fuck lol
( ... )
Omg............. I quit mcu early on and only watched black panther for the cast. Like I knew of the thanos shit and the deaths but THIS SHIT????????? I am disgusted!!!!!!!! 😔
