In retrospect, the cship obviously played a huge roll in Britney's performance. If it seemed like she was forced to be there she probably was! Ugh my bb girl.

i'm not sure if this is the same as what the oc was referring to, but i remember there being rumors on music forums at the time that she envisioned the album to be more in the vein of "don't keep me waiting," with a bit of a rockier twist
