Rupert seems like a decent dude, who clares the bare of bare minimum of human decency here. He’s not saying anything that should be radical or off the wall, just “these are people who deserve respect and not to be hated”, which is how everyone should approach their fellow humans (until said other humans prove themselves to be assholes, and yes I mean JKeRror here)

Ron was always my favorite of the trio (Harry is a jerk and Hermione *is* an obnoxious know it all, and I know I couldn’t have gotten along with people like them irl.) so I like seeing that Rupert isn’t a dickhead.

Ron was my favorite because he felt the most like a real person. He was an obnoxious jealous asshole all the time, it was his defining character flaw. Harry started feeling like a real person right as the books ended and Hermione could sometimes feel like JKR trying to give the perfect character arc to all the nerdy girls in school who didn't get the guy.

My bestfriend made me realize how most people take Ron for granted. He was the one who had the most to lose in a war. He had to deal with that fear before he could show up for his friends. People act like he wasn't as brave or as smart as his two bestfriends, but I think he was probably the most tangible and realistic as a character

So, it's a treat to see Rupert live up to Ron's roundness as a person

Ron was literally a regular teenage boy. People hate on him, but like, he was the sixth of seven kids, part of a poor yet pureblood wizard family, wasn't particularly talented, and had all the day to day knowledge of British wizarding culture. Yeah he sucks, but have you met a teenage boy?

I mean, he's trying to go the DanRad route and acknowledge that what he has career/money-wise is because of Ms.Voldy, but that he doesn't agree with her bs...

Rupert's a good guy...He's not really all PR savvy, but I can't imagine him being someone who would kiss her trans-phobe Nagini ass. He seems happy doing his indie thing.
