I actually just learned about her on The Great Pottery Throw Down this week! The challenge was to make an art deco set inspired by Clarice's work.
I hope it's actually about the way she broke barriers in the art world, because this could very easily turn into "here's this important woman, but the most important thing about her is the dude she fucked." And I would hate that.
Anyway, I don't watch Bridgerton, but I'm glad to see that Phoebe's annoying bangs don't exist in this world.
In fairness, I'm the asshole here because none of the official press on this film focuses on their relationship or even mentions it. To the point where I wonder if they will cover it and/or if they'll make him seem supportive but kind of creepy?
I trust a female writer/director team more than I'd trust this with dudes, but it's hard to know for sure.
I wouldn't be comfortable if they try to make it seem like he's 100% a good dude if he was cheating on his wife with a much younger woman.
But obviously there's the risk that too much focus on their relationship diminishes her accomplishments, etc.
Well, to be fair, he was also key to her work's distribution and ability to be developed. They appear to have been a real partnership so, it's hard to make him just a background character.
