they can be cross examined. it's a custody case as well, isn't it? it is typical for a court to hear testimony from the children in custody hearings. their divorce is so confusing idk if this case is somehow separate from custody, but even if they testify in closed chambers, they'll likely have to tell the court what they witnessed and how they feel for custody.
