Feels like I haven't seen a really good horror movie in ages. And I don't have high hopes for this one.

i've never seen any of the saw movies. does the villain/mastermind really show up on a tricycle?? is it supposed to be scary??? i guess it would freak me out to see some made up weirdo on a childrens bike.

the last scary movie i saw was the ring (naomi watts version). my husband has been on a crazy horror movie kick lately and he said he'd never seen the ring so we saw it and he liked it. i keep wanting him to watch hostel but he's not into gore.

the villain has a puppet that sometimes shows up to instruct the victims about the games they are going to play. Usually the puppet appears in pre recorded videos as an avatar for the killer but he has also been shown riding the bicycle. the puppet is called billy and the killer is called jigsaw. also the puppet is not alive. its juts a puppet

Jigsaw does show up on a tricycle, irrc, but it's a ventriloquist puppet, not a human like in the gif. The first Saw is good, imo, but I never really got into the other ones.

A few good horror movies I watched recently-ish on streaming services:

Anything For Jackson -- Shudder
Dabbe 4: Cin Çarpması -- Netflix
The Shrine -- Hulu
The Shout -- Prime
Eyes Without a Face -- HBO Max
The Poughkeepsie Tapes -- Pluto TV, Tubi, Prime (rewatch. idk why i rewatched it cuz it fucked me up the first time lol)

I haven't watched a movie in such a long time, my attention span is shot. I've been reading a lot of short horror stories tho!

My watch list is like ten miles long but, what horror movie should I watch, ONTD? I've got Shudder, Prime, Hulu and Netflix!

Noroi: The Curse (prime)
The Blackcoat's Daughter (netflix)
Satan's Slaves (shudder) lmao at my typo
I Am a Ghost (tubi/shudder)
Digging up the Marrow (hulu)

Nori is AMAZING!! I wish it got more love. I deff need to rewatch it! I thought Satan's Slaves was taken off lol I was thinking of Vampyros Lesbos on Shudder but I'll deff give that a watch. I haven't seen the others, but The Blackcoat's Daughter is on my list

Noroi is so fucking scary right??? I wanna give it a rewatch but it's soo scary lol.
Satan's Slaves is scary too IMO. Kind of has Hereditary vibes to it. It gave me the creeps and I definitely jumped a couple of times.

The Blackcoat's Daughter is one of my favorites, it's sooo dreadful and surprisingly the cast is very good!

I love all the Saw movies. I enjoy the twists they come up with.

my friends never understood why i like them so much, but that is it on the head. the twists were always so intriguing and (imo) clever. but i dont know how i feel about the film jigsaw, i think they should have just rebooted the franchise in a new form. i also dont know what to think of this upcoming spiral movie (i generally find sam jackson rather annoying)

The twists intrigue me for the same reason genuine medieval torture methods do; some depraved mind actually came up with this and that's... a thing.

Seeing a Saw movie in a crowded theater and having everyone lose their minds over the twists were truly something.
