Wynonna Earp to end on SYFY after its fourth season

Feb 06, 2021 21:56

SYFY announced that the back half of Season 4, which is set to air on March 5 at 10 p.m. E.T./P.T., will be the final six episodes of the show. The show was already on thin ice since IDW Publishing (who owns the rights) had a hard time finding funding for the show, so it's been helped/saved by the fans after Season 3.

It's already all filmed though right? So it's going to leave us hanging isn't it?

Considering it's a miracle we got season 4, I would think that Emily was smart enough to plan a satisfying ending despite wanting to continue.

It was hard enough to get a 4th season, so hopefully Emily planned accordingly, even tho she/the team wants to continue and is looking for other options.

Did they ever bring Dolls back? I haven't watched in forever. Can't stand Wynonna and Doc together.

The character was killed off because the actor wanted to leave so he could do more films. And since I see some bullshit every time the show is posted here - it was Shamier's choice to have Dolls die.

because the horrible way his character was treated when he was on the show probably had nothing to do with him wanting to leave

Kind of like how Nichole Beharie asked to have Abbie Mills killed off Sleepy Hollow. We all know the real reason behind that.

I started watching it after seeing there were lesbians but like two days after I started Netflix UK dropped it. So rude.

This show is on Syfy? I always assumed it was a western.

I tried to watch season 1 this year after hearing all these raves from queer women and I could not slog through it. Does it get any better? Could I jump in at season 2 if it does improve?

I think you can check out season 2 without getting lost, imo it's better than season 1 but the overall feeling of the show is the same.

Thank you! I'll try again and just jump in to season 2.

It gets better. Season 1 is all over the place so it's hard to get into (mostly 'cause the story makes no sense). They learn to focus a lot more in season 2 and season 3 is legit as well.
