So if you’ve been following my saga of IT blocking a web site I needed for work, I’m now debating if I should say anything about it. We always get a customer satisfaction survey when we make an IT help desk ticket, and I may just say that I don’t think it was handled in a professional manner. I’m also debating talking to the head of my department about it.

If you missed it, I’m working on a project that involves seeing the effect of vibrator use on female sexual and physical health and the web site of the company supplying the devices was blocked. I asked IT to unblock it and they were weird about it.

I think you should definitely do that. That dude was super unprofessional and he had no right to place his bullshit on you at work

Not sure what type of company you work for, but I would say something. To me, they are discrediting your work by not helping you with it.

IT is an admin job. They are there to support business functions. I say this as an accountant with the same purpose.
