Honestly there are so many Russian words I've heard that sound so similar to Portuguese.

We have sooo many borrowed words, and like borrowed a couple centuries ago so we don't even realize it and they don't even sound non-Slavic to me, but they are 😂 But I guess it's easy to explain considering for example that the aristocracy at some point used French only and some were even more fluent in it than in Russian, no wonder foreign words kept being inserted in the literature etc.
