I binged the whole season already - it gets a lot better from Episode 5 onward I thought. The first few episodes in London were a chore, but when the action moves on, I got a lot better. I probably preferred it to season 1 ultimately.

I've been working hard to not binge all of this in one go - I think I'm on episode 7 now. When I watched series 1 I remember thinking it was just OK, but I rewatched it all ahead of series 2 and for some reason it all clicked more for me. Also, I love Matthew Goode and will basically watch anything he's in.

[Spoilers for later on in season 2 here]Maybe lockdown has made me soft but I was sobbing at the bit where Phillipe writes a letter for Ysebeau to read in the future, I just found it very moving lol. IA with comments above about England, I think the best bits I've watched so far have been in France.

Also, I've started reading the books - I attempted before, was put off by the vampire yoga, but super into the series now. Halfway through book 2.

I might watch this but I read the first two books and they were AWFUL. Dreadfully written. I barely finished the second one and not a chance I was picking up the 3rd but I saw someone say the first season was better than the book so maybe I'll give it a go?

I watched the first 6 episodes of season 2 and I'm not as into it as I expected to be. I love time travel stories, but this is not as interesting as I imagined it. The book wasn't that good either but I was still hoping the show will make it more fun. I'm sick of Matthew and Diana talking about how much they love each other. And I wanted more Gallowglass. But I do like Marcus and Phoebe.
