This series was wasted potential, should’ve been like Harry Potter meets Pretty Little Liars and not SATANIC KILLINGS every episode that made grown adults too scared/repulsed to watch it.
So, like... in theory... wouldn't one of the two people who ended up in the "good place" at the end not be there because they, in essence, offed themselves?
Also, it dawned on me that across those entire 4 parts, they NEVER explained who the parents of Ambrose are. I really wanted some backstory on a character who, far as I can tell, was an original creation for this iteration of the mythos.
The last scene completely ruined the finale for me. Like, the blasé treatment of the act of teen suicide then the framing of it as a romantic gesture. I’m sure it was an intended nod to Romeo and Juliet but it was pure trash and irresponsible. The episode should’ve ended in the scene before it. It was emotionally poignant enough.
I get you but I think they literally could have just not filmed anything. It took away far more than it gave. A Buffy-esque series finale of her reading the letter she addressed to “ALL I Love” would’ve been far better.
The ending should not have been added. The white room scene was not needed for series closure, it was added purely to appease fans and when you consider factors like age, it’s downright fucked up.
That said, I did enjoy the show and all it’s cheesiness....minus all the singing. SO MUCH SINGING. I may enjoy a song from The Driver Era once in awhile but this show was not giving Ross the opportunity to showcase his skill at allll.
lol same. the most emotion this season got out of me was when I got really mad Sabrina supposedly won the battle of the bands and not Time Warp (or even the other band..)
