Daisy Ridley covers Tatler.

She reveals that she's been told that she is intimidating:

“That was on Chaos Walking. I was having my hair done, having my wig put on. I remember thinking, ‘God, should I be smaller? Should I be quieter?’”

Chaos Walking, a sci-fi fantasy adventure film directed by Doug Liman

she comes of ignorant af, but not intimidating imo. Is she the one that said her whiteness didnt helpe her career or am i thinking of someone else?

Yes, she said in an interview once that her struggles were similar as John Boyega's

This happens to me all the time and it’s the most frustrating fucking thing. Like I know I’m also Latina and the prejudice/ preconceived notions ppl have about us being “fiery” and “feisty” but I’ll be talking about something I’m passionate about or advocating for my point and people (mostly men) will be like, “relax, you don’t have to get upset” when I was the farthest thing from upset to begin with.

I am normally super friendly and happy around ppl, but antiblackness has made me less so which bums me out.

Men can literally get into fist fights on set and she’s aggressive?

This is what you get for expressing an opinion while being female. "Aggressive." "Intimidating." My personal favourite, "feisty"

is feisty a negative descriptor?

I find it really condescending and a bit infantilizing.
