Josh Ritter's Quarantine Sessions were some of my favourites of this year. They're so warm and inviting and made me feel more calm in the wild early pandemic days.
I am awful at list. I end up spouting 50 entries. Jennifer Hudson was really great this year and showed how much she loves fans and music herself. The videos on the post are just the tip of the iceberg. The Global Citizen specials were so needed for me. I live in D.C.,barley 2 miles from the white house and capitol and when the protest happened it unlocked a memory of a 2008 incident that could have ended in tragedy and having the helicopters flying by constantly really made my panic disorder flare,but Jennifer's concert segments, with no album to promote was a saving grace of someone who can't bake. That was long, so some videos.
I adore Chloe X Halle, but Anika Noni Rose needs a bigger spotlight. I liked the stripped down acoustic sound she chose more.
I am pretty sure Elton has new dentures now, so that is why he sounds like this, but that just makes the great energy he puts out even more great. Plus I loved seeing his kids basketball court.

This was probably my favorite, but I've enjoyed a lot of them! Death Cab, Bright Eyes, and Phoebe Bridgers all had a lot of good virtual performances.
