I don't think the situation is comparable??? Jesy's been very public about her struggles and her suicide attempt, and how she loved her art and her bandmates but hated the perception and scrutiny. Also, Jesy's leaving hardly has the same abruptness or coldness that Zayn's did. You can feel her and her bandmates sadness, regret and friendship through it all.

If he IS right and Zayn left because of his own mental health struggles we aren't aware of, then he just sounds even more like an ass for downplaying it.

Conclusion: Irrelevant. As always.
