hf rina, phoebe, fiona, soccer mommy, and waxahatchee!! honestly this year was really for the women in music (not even a haim reference lol i just feel like all my fave albums this year were by women!)

But while there were albums from men that I liked (the aforementioned Perfume Genius and Moses Sumney, as well as Matt Berninger, Glass Animals, Fleet Foxes, Novo Amor, Haux, and my boy Sufjan all got a lot of listens from me), I could easily fill my top 10 with just albums by women and not feel like I was missing out. The five you mentioned (❤️), Laura Marling and HAIM from the post obviously, Allie X, Charli XCX, Fenne Lily, Emmy the Great, Jessie Ware, Lianne La Havas, Katie Pruitt, Rosie Carney, The Aces, Christine and the Queens, PVRIS, Empress Of, Dagny, Róisín Murphy, vérité, FLETCHER, Yumi Zouma, Adrianne Lenker . . . so many good ones!

Women In Music Pt. III actually was my favorite album of the year! I'm only disappointed that they can't do a US tour for it anytime soon, because I'd LOVE to finally see Haim live.
