I think I prefer the first one. I had a hard time following the second one aside from the flashbacks.

Yeah, I had to watch the Godfather 2 many times before I could understand most of what was going on and I still have trouble understanding it. Despite that problem, I started to enjoy watching the present scenes as much as watching the flashbacks. Those last scenes with Kay and Fredo are fantastic.

I saw the first two for the first time during the recent theatrical rereleases so this will be the first time seeing this as well. They’re both good but I really felt their length at times.
