13, 10 and 5. I can understand why she doesn't necessarily want to jump to a divorce. I have a feeling she'll go for it eventually, but people were also talking in the first few posts about how much of a money sink these old castles are for the families that have had them for hundreds of years (I know, boohoo poor little rich people) and with that + the youngish kids, I get it. I really do. She's a grown woman and can make her own decisions.

I found these pics so weird when I saw them yesterday just, like, body language wise?? How he's running ahead of her in a way where he can't even see her. They have to be running ALMOST the same speed, so he runs JUST fast enough to always stay a few feet ahead of her? Idk I'm reading into this a lot but it feels...apropos. That he's not protecting her or their marriage or seeing them as a unit, but instead running ahead of her and leaving her and the life they've built together behind because he can't ever NOT be ~first~ and wants to break off ahead of her

I know this is a bit chauvinistic and obviously she can protect herself but especially right now, when he's put her into a situation so horrible...I just feel like the symbolism of him running ahead of her is so shit. She should be running ahead of him, if anything, so he's the one unprotected from behind. Instead, she's watching him run ahead, and she's the one with her back exposed and ready to be stabbed (metaphorically)...by him, prob.

i don't know what the property and asset division laws are there or if they have a marital agreement, but i assume she's protecting her wealth since she's the richer spouse.
