Was Madison's pregnancy always in 2020? Were they always going to drop the drug trial storyline or was this change due to covid?

Randall was born before them, I feel like we already knew that?

I like that we finally saw more of Randall's mother, but the recon is tew much. I hate the way they retcon things on this show - everyone is wise and all-knowing about how in the past will affect the future. People crossing paths who we have never known to have crossed paths before. Glad they didn't make Randall's father talk to Jack.

Randall calling out Kate was sweet!!! It was definitely not the time for him to make her feel better.

She was pregnant with twins at the end of last season. Not sure what they'd planned with the drug trial but likely always going to be dropped somehow as they needed to keep her close to the others for storyline ( ... )

She was pregnant with twins at the end of last season. - I got that, but I guess I hadn't noticed how current that timeline was, I assumed it was in the not so distant future.

I guess retcon is not the right word, but I feel like they pulled it out of their ass tbh. Having her be alive the entire time is some soap opera writing. and feels like a rehash of Randall's father only this time Rebecca doesn't secretly know...or does she? or is it Jack's turn to have known?

They've been talking about his feelings about moms for a while... I'm not sure how they'll do it though since it'd be weird she never went to find William or anything like that... or maybe she got clean and is happily ever after somewhere, dunno! William didn't know, clearly, so I doubt Rebecca knew. It wouldn't make sense that Jack could have known either.

So the only real way they may interact might be a DNA test, maybe one of the kids does it for some reason? I guess we'll find out!

since rebecca knew about william i feel like they'll make it so that jack knew about laurel and ...... if they do.

all the scenes of young william and laurel, they were so cute.

malik/randall scene was good and oooof i knew the final kate/randall one was coming from the beginning when randall says that kate keeps sending him pics from marches and wants to know where she should donate next.

i feel like madison is going to die in childbirth...

The Malik/Randall moment was fantastic and it was very cool to see Randall heal from things in a way he didn't know he hadn't and couldn't with his girls! Beautiful scene!

the twist...seriously. i don't know how i feel about it.

i'm also not a fan of them going back to the same scenes in the past over and over again. i feel like some continuity is going to be lost there. does anyone remember anything happening the day the twins were born? jack was running around praying and making phone calls, i swear her had a convo with the doctor too. he was doing a lot during that time.

She was likely in labor for 18+ hours, so he had plenty of time to feel helpless... even if he spent an hour on each task we saw, it was a lot of time to sit and wait. The doctor convo happened at the end of this episode, we saw that convo in a prior episode so this time we just see from afar, because we already saw it up close and heard the words.

So far, continuity is consistent, I think this show really watches tapes to be sure as well as recording some things far in advance to use later; they know they need that right to keep this going well!
