Power Rangers is such a weird property to me b/c like they want to cash in on the nostalgia, but could never deliver what the DIE HARD STANS want in a reboot or multiverse because outside of Tommy for the 100,000,000th time, all of those things are ~outdated and too niched. like. I want to see a series/movie that adapts Astronema/Karone and the evil Pink Ranger and Terra Venture and the Zeo crystals and the death of Zordon but like. It's just never going to happen on that level.

So. I dunno how to be excited for this.

The comics are the Power Rangers we deserve and I hope the movie/new tv show are as good as the comics are.

I know a lot of fans are anti-getting rid of Sentai footage but I am praying that we get an original season and one that isnt dumbed down as the show has become.

I am so ready to get rid of the Sentai footage lol, it's noticeably lower quality and the weirdest shit happens in it. I remember there were a few seasons (I think when Disney took over?) where the footage was much higher quality and the fighting scenes had much better stunts.

I had to go to the source to see what studio was doing this, and it turns out to be eOne, which used to be a Canadian distribution company and they really sucked at distribution. Now they say they're something between a studio and a distributor, and I still have no confidence in them.

So if this is well done, it will be a miracle.
