Lmao, I was thinking that, imagine being the only nominee and people prefer to non vote than to vote for you

The year I was in eighth grade, at city science fair the awards committee announced to an entire, packed, basketball court of participants, parents and teachers that the senior division group (so a team of 3-6 high school junior and seniors) award for I think it was engineering&mathematics was going to NO ONE because they “did not see any entry that was deserving of an award” it was brutal but also kind of hilarious😶

I'm glad the default win went to someone totally worthy at least. Aaron Tveit is so talented.

Wow, that's so weird re: Best Actor! Congrats to him.

Of these, I only saw MR, Slave Play, The Sound Inside, Betrayal, and Sea Wall/A Life (off Broadway), so I don't have many strong opinions.

Moulin Rouge was all spectacle, no heart (imo, of course) but it does deserve whatever set design awards it's nominated for, because that theater looked amazing.

Still so sad about all the shows we're missing and will continue to miss for the next couple of years. :/

The set and choreo for Moulin Rouge were definitely the best parts. Aaron was vocally great, but I'm not sure he'd have pulled this off in a regular/more competitive year based on the acting lol.

ITA that he sounded fantastic, but I feel like that's a realistic assessment.
