mte Chuck loves to both sides everything. I still remember him telling an ACLU lawyer how they could come to middle ground on the census question after we saw those emails making it clear they were doing it for political reasons to steal seats. Also when he had Gov. Evers on after the republican legislature voted to take away power they had given to Scott Walker and Chuck is pretending it's not for partisan reasons but maybe they realized they went too far lmao

This was prob gunna happen anyway, live event ratings have been on the decline for over 5 years now. The only events that haven't been are sports championships.

I guess they didn't think about how them hosting the town hall would affect ratings for other programs though. NBC is lame and I never watch it. If I watch news it's usually CBS or ABC.

No award show fell this drastically y2y. The virtual Emmys were only down 25% in the demo and only 12% in viewers.

Yeah I agree. People don’t care about live shows anymore. You don’t have to watch to get the winners list. Plus no one is there and who wants to watch a show like that?

3.6m?? Less than the Emmy's? Like I get why the Emmy's don't get many viewers but this has musical performances by popular artists , I expected more

The Emmys got 6.1m viewers this year.

The boycott worked that well?? Because seriously, a bunch of actors getting awards and the only entertainment is an annoying comedian shouldn't get more viewers than something that has several musical performances , and I say this as someone who actually likes and watches the Emmy's lol

Emmys is the top awards for television shows though. It’s billboard Awards not the Grammys, so no one really cares.

I mean, was it because of the townhall?

Doubtful. No one watches this non-Grammy show and less would like watch in a year it’s a non-event without celebrities going.
