The fashion was just awful, the amount of hip bones outchea, trucker caps, Bebe rhinestone shirts and girls sporting or wanting that multicolor LVs, kitten heel flip flops

Just typing this out is traumatizing

I can’t believe 2000s happened and we pretend the fashion was better than the 90s.... at the time

I've always wondered why Dominique Swain didn't become a big star

I was shocked to see her in here! her Wikipedia shows she's been working on several films every year, prettymuch ALL indie films that don't even have a link :(

Looking at these photos reminds me of old mean ONTD, during which I rarely ever commented for fear of getting ripped to shreds over nothing. I submitted a post that went through on a race-fetishizing Playboy issue with Bai Ling on the cover and half the comments were about a typo I did in the title (think I switched letters around in NSFW). So many posts on Lilo and Sam Ronson drama. For me ONTD started to change with Pariscarriage and the big change in rules after the C*ssie nude post. For the better in some ways but celebs are so much more sanitized now and image-careful. The messiness was a lot more fun tbh. Now we have TikTik and YouTube “stars.”

I had completely forgotten about Dominique Swain’s existence, and Ali Landry.

You’re right, appearances are curated and super safe, and like someone said in a comment stylists have pretty much ruined fashion for me in some ways. I almost want to blame Rachel Zoe outright but shoot we had the Weinstein reign of terror in more ways than one and all the actresses had to wear Marchesa.
