+ The cult classic came out on August 13, 2010 and to celebrate director Edgar Wright has announced a re-release of the iconic soundtrack with new material fans have been craving for years. ( +++++++ )
I only ever saw the movie but it is SO unabashedly Toronto in a lot of ways and is going to go down as a visual record for that time. The nostalgic in me is thankful for the shots of Honest Ed's and just the small shops that are probably condos now.
Yeah, I was reading somewhere else someone saying that it was filmed right before so many changes in the city started to happen and it started becoming all condos. I still live in Toronto and I love it but it has changed so much since I first moved here and it makes me sad.
i was an extra in this movie. i made scale for two days' work and spent it all on overdue parking tickets. all i remember is another extra throwing up in front of 'sonic boom' and edgar wright winking at me. i've still never seen it.
I fucking love this movie and the soundtrack. I had just moved into my first apartment around that time, so I have fond memories of listening to the soundtrack while unpacking, and driving around getting lost and having panic attacks because I'm going to be lost forever.
I've cosplayed as Ramona and was so mad that even with rollers I can never style the wig *quite like* it appears in the movie To this day I'm still tempted to go blue or magenta but I hate bleach damage, lol
I went as her for Halloween that year! I posted a pic to my Insta story earlier today if you wanna see haha, jenjuneauhaupt is my Insta. Would love to see yours!

Being able to put Brie Larson's version of Black Sheep on playlists is honestly life changing lmao.
