as a torontonian who has loved scott pilgrim ever since i was like 12 and reading the first volume, this post is making me mighty teary-eyed right now

I only ever saw the movie but it is SO unabashedly Toronto in a lot of ways and is going to go down as a visual record for that time. The nostalgic in me is thankful for the shots of Honest Ed's and just the small shops that are probably condos now.

Yeah, I was reading somewhere else someone saying that it was filmed right before so many changes in the city started to happen and it started becoming all condos. I still live in Toronto and I love it but it has changed so much since I first moved here and it makes me sad.

I’ve moved from Toronto for law school, plan on going back after, but I watch Scott Pilgrim anytime I get nostalgic for it, it’s such a classic, ❤️
