Oh fuck you. You had your chance. You're just another bitter white man who wants to pretend like he's been hard done by even though you get asked back to host awards shows year after year.
I can't with these straight white men complaining about cancel culture when they still have legions of dedicated fans.
They're reaching that age where they are out of touch with the youth and I think they're so affronted by that fact (getting older, being out of touch) that their brains can't handle it. Which is funny because I bet that they were all too happy to put the comedians that came before them out to pasture due to them being "out of touch", so why can't they see that it's a revolving door concept that happens to everyone? Society gets more progressive as it moves on, and the jokes that were at one time funny are no longer funny after a certain length of time. You either stick where you are and become the racist old grandpa, or you fucking progress WITH THE CULTURE.
"Cancel culture" has always existed - it's why everyone views their grandparents as being less progressive and more out of touch and more used to racism / sexism / homophobia / etc than their parents generation, and certainly more than their own generation.

"Cancel culture" has always existed - it's why everyone views their grandparents as being less progressive and more out of touch and more used to racism / sexism / homophobia / etc than their parents generation, and certainly more than their own generation.
