my BFF is from Hong Kong and she's gotten guys who expect this, yes. they are VERY much barking up the wrong tree with her lol. she's much more interested in guys who might wanna be pegged. but yeah it happens plenty. and when it comes to international dating they go for these women who live in extreme poverty so there's this awful power imbalance. And on 90DF they're usually broke assholes!!

Paul has always given off such creepy vibes, I honestly stopped finding his antics funny on the show a long time ago. I hope that Karine and baby Pierre are safe and can get back to Brazil, where she clearly wants to be.

I started watching 90 Day Fiance because of quarantine and while heartbreaking for Karine and her son, none of this surprising. Paul has always seemed unhinged, from his inability to handle any ounce of stress without an outburst and his lack of personal responsibility when it comes to his actions. But he gets away with it because racism and xenophobia makes it very easy to paint brown women as "temptresses" and "tricksters" who are looking to use innocent white American men for their money and to gain access to a green card, so who cares what happens to these women, they get what they get.

I hope that Karine has managed to escape and is safe with her son. Fuck Paul.
