neither ruth nor james are majestic enough and to go from sam elliott to fucking lmm for lee is a sin

only good casting was the little boy who plays will and andrew scott playing his dad but im biased because i find him sexy tbh i expected him to be more rugged

Ruth was maybe the only person (onscreen) who worked for me. I was surprised to be disappointed by Anne-Marie Duff as Ma, since I love her. And James McAvoy was definitely a "fame" pick rather than an actual character fit.

i agree, not a huge fan of the casting. feel like people thirst for james mcavoy, but i don't see asriel in him at all. lmm was a travesty and i did not enjoy the person playing ma or serafina either.

that being said, i thought ruth was one of the few great ones
