Yeah I'm a huge fan! I've seen her band and met her a bunch of times, she's been nothing but lovely. I was shocked, partly because I don't pay attention to her dating life and that Joey Armstrong was like this because SMWRS was touted as a new age feminist band.

Children are left to fend for themselves in the entertainment industry so often, especially in the music industry. I hope that Lydia is able to heal and work through this, especially now that it’s public. I worry about how the other band’s fans will try and tear her down because stans can be trash when it comes to their faves.

wow, i love lydia and the regrettes SO much, and i am so sorry she went through all of this. what a powerful and brave statement. i hope she finds healing and peace, and that this statement helps more victims come forward about predatory behavior/abuse in the music scene.

every day on r/indieheads it seems there are new allegations against some band (Kasabian, The Buttertones, The Frights, The Growlers...) what a rotten scene. the growlers are also creeps, my friend tried to interview them once at their studio in costa mesa and they made her take her shirt off in front of them in exchange for answering a question. completely invalidating the interview and making her out to be a joke.
